Kaye S. Walker, 82, of ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥, N.C., passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025 surrounded by love with her daughters by her side.
Born in Cleveland County, N.C., on September 30, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Benjamin Stroupe and Eva Beatrice Rhyne Stroupe.
Kaye graduated from ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ High School and the School for Medical Technology in Sanford, N.C. She enjoyed golf, puzzles, crosswords, flowers, bowling, traveling, watching hummingbirds, and listening to various genres of music. She was also a frequent attendee at CoMMA, where she was a long-time season ticket holder. She dearly loved and was devoted to her family, attending all of the family functions.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Dana Weaver (Jason) and Tracy Furtado (Mark); and nieces and nephews, Ben Stroupe, Diane Holbrook, Linda Snyder, Suzanne Lyle, and John D. McLean.
In addition to her parents, Kaye was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jimmy" David Walker; sister, Marillyn McLean; and brother, Craig Stroupe.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Monday, September 8, 2025 in the chapel at Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum. The cryptside service will follow at 2 p.m. at chapel with Rev. David Orders officiating.
