Get ready to get groovy this summer: ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥â€™s TGIF Concert Series is back again.
This year’s lineup features an assortment of genres from classic rock and country to rhythm and blues. The city announced the lineup Friday, March 21.
“Throughout the year, we listen to bands, get ideas from the community and review bands that approach us,†said Kasey Goodfellow, community events coordinator for the city’s Main Street department. “We look for high energy groups with charisma and stamina. They have to entertain downtown ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ for three hours and that takes pizzazz.â€
All of the concerts, held on the courthouse square in downtown ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥, are free to attend. Vendors open at 6 p.m. and music begins at 7 p.m. People attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sprawl out on the lawn.
